Why join Costco?

I absolutely love itCostco - I have been a member for 23 years. I do most of my household shopping there. It's my go-to store for paper towels, garbage bags, washing powder, and all those other household essentials I don't want to buy regularly at the grocery store. It's also where I buy groceries like milk, coffee, and eggs (they're a lot cheaper at Costco than the local grocery store). Costco is also a great place to stock up on wine. I recommend boxed wine from the Kirkland Signature brand - it's the perfect combination of high quality and low price.

I also make sure to get a roast chicken for $4.99 when I'm at Costco. It makes a great appetizer for dinner, and has enough left over to make sandwiches or chicken salad the next day. And the price is unbeatable: you pay much more buying a whole chicken to roast at home.

Costco is a great place to find housewares, furniture, small appliances, bedding, and more. Costco also offers extended warranties on electronics at no extra cost and has a much friendlier return policy than Best Buy and other retailers.

When I need gas, I stop at the gas station connected to my local grocery store. The price there is typically 15 to 40 cents less per gallon than at nearby stations. (Don't let the long lines put you off: Most Costco gas stations have more pumps than the average gas station. The lines move quickly.)

And of course, every time I visit Costco, I stop by the in-store cafe. It's hard to go wrong with the $1.50 hot dog and drink combo. Give it a try next time you visit. And keep an eye out for the new $9.99 Roast Beef Sandwich, the latest addition to Costco's food court.

Is Costco better than Sam's Club?

Here's a tough question for you: which warehouse club is the best?

Valid for non-members only during first year of membership. Not valid for renewal or upgrade of an existing membership. To qualify as a new member, Costco membership must have expired at least 18 months or more. Limit one promotion/incentive per family.
